Popular for its wide variety in vintage shopping, Brighton’s north laines has multiple different places for you to come and find some classic clothing to take home with you. One of the city’s biggest and most well known vintage stores is Beyond Retro, with an unmissable vivid yellow shop front, its definitely worth going in and having a rummage around. Another delightful little shop not far from the station and fabulous for finding gorgeous vintage items is Kate & Aud; when you enter the charming boutique it’s as though you have stumbled upon a grown-ups dressing up box; Kate & Aud is bursting with both beautifully and ethically made vintage and modern clothing as well as stunning bespoke charm jewellery.
However, even if vintage isn’t your thing then there are plenty of other lovely little boutiques filled with fantastic clothes that have a more modern look; Nola is an adorable little shop with a laid back atmosphere that is most welcoming to its customers. Not only are there modern little boutiques in the Lanes but Brighton alos has its main shopping area; there is the Churchill Square shopping centre as well as the main high street, Western Road where you can find your usual high street names such as Zara, H&M, Topshop, New Look etc. So make the most of your day filled with retail therapy in Brighton and give yourselves the chance to look around the wonderful seaside town as well as paying us at DSUK a little visit.

As the weather is changing and bringing with it a new season, at DSUK we are following in mother nature’s footsteps and bringing in more and more new designers. One of the latest we’ve been fortunate enough to add to our long list is the wonderful Ann Louise Roswald. A graduate of Central Saint Martin’s College of Art & Design, Ann Louise’s honours degree in Fashion with printed textiles has set her in great stead within the fashion industry and her stunning clothing can be seen in numerous stores and boutiques across the globe. However, her clothing isn’t only to be spotted around the world, you can also come and buy Ann’s gorgeous creations at our next DSUK sale at The Music Rooms, Mayfair on 21/10/2011.
As her degree would imply, Ann Louise pays careful consideration to the fabrics she uses and from where they are sourced, making her designs all that more special as intricate attention has been paid into making her clothing so beautiful. This Autumn/Winter Ann’s designs celebrate femininity and simplicity with tailoring inspired by the 1940′s to fit the female form with elegant precision; this is also in keeping with one of this season’s greatest trends being the revival of vintage/retro styles, so why not treat yourselves at our sale to some beautiful purchases that encapsulate both modern day originality and timeless charm.

At DSUK we couldn’t be more excited about our next sale at The Music Rooms Mayfair, 21/10/2011 as we get to show you, our lovely customers what designers this winter have to offer. We are in particular great fans of Vivienne Westwood whose catwalk show World Wide Woman in February 2011 gave us a taster of what’s to come this Autumn/Winter; Westwood has truly taken inspiration from across the world with her colourful fabrics and mixture of beautiful prints. Not only that but she has created various designs to cater to every different kind of woman, from peplum skirts to slogan ridden t-shirts combined with ripped denim shorts, creating a runway show that truly encapsulates “the world wide woman”.
Not only do we adore the work of Westwood but another of our favourites at DSUK is the stunning creations from Martin Margiela, whose main focus this season at MMM is quite simply aimed at coats and dresses, so come down to our sale and bag yourself some great designer bargains and investment pieces to last you a lifetime. We also have lots to offer from others designers such as Viktor & Rolf, Emporio Armani, Sophia Kokosalaki, Bill Amberg and many more great names that you can come and add to your wardrobe!
At DSUK we are firm believers of how important it is to re-use and recycle your clothes, these are not easy times financially and we recognise that it’s essential to offer new and exciting ways of spicing up your wardrobe, after all everyone loves looking fabulous at a bargain!
